BCA is currently accredited by the Tennessee Department of Education and the National Lutheran Schools Accreditation Association (NLSA) .

Is Belvoir Christian Academy the same as The Lutheran School?

Yes. In 2006, The Lutheran School changed its name to Belvoir Christian Academy to more accurately reflect the area as well as its desire to ensure that families of all faiths and Christian denominations are welcome to enroll.

The congregations of First Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church continue their support of BCA. Belvoir Christian Academy’s mission is to make disciples for Jesus through learning, loving and serving. Established in 1887, BCA is excited about moving forward into the next one hundred years.

What is the dress code?

BCA has a standardized dress code for kindergarten through eighth grade students. The dress code policy does not apply to students in pre-school. Students are expected to dress modestly and be well-groomed during school hours.

Appropriate attire includes:

  • Shorts, pants, skirts or jumpers in khaki or navy (or the approved plaid for skirts/jumpers)
  • Solid color Polo shirt of any color, with no logos or emblems other than the Belvoir Christian Academy logo
  • Solid color sweaters, sweat shirts and turtlenecks may also be worn with the Polo shirt collar visible above the top of the sweater/sweat shirt collar

Further details regarding the dress code policy are provided in the BCA Family Handbook.

I have returned my application. What is the next step?

After applying for admission, our Admissions Director will work with your schedule to set up a time to have your child complete an assessment with the teacher of the rising grade (required for kindergarten - 8th grade). Following the assessment, families may need to meet with the teacher to go over test results, and finally, they will meet with our principal to go over school procedures and policies. For more details, contact the Admissions Director at 423.622.3755, ext. 12 or admissions@bcacademy.net.
