VARIABLE TUITION

Think you can't afford a Quality Christian Education? Think Again! We're proud to offer families Variable Tuition!

K - 8th Grade TUITION

Families with children in rising kindergarten through eighth grade may apply for Variable Tuition. This program offers families the opportunity to apply for tuition assistance, and based upon their financial information from the previous year, families may qualify for a discounted tuition rate.

*Variable Tuition applications are considered on a rolling basis. Awards are communicated to applicants generally within 10 business days of the time BCA receives the online Variable Tuition application, supporting documents (tax return, W2s from previous year), the 5% tuition deposit, and for new students, the application/testing fee of $100.

*The one-time application/testing fee ($100 for new students) and 5% non-refundable tuition deposit must be paid before an award amount can be disclosed for Variable Tuition.

Each decision is based upon the individual financial needs of the family from the financial position, the household income and the tax information from the previous year.

Please note that there is a $60 non-refundable fee for the online application process, and fees listed above must also be paid before an award amount can be disclosed.

VARIABLE TUITION FAQS

  • Think you can't afford a quality Christian education?

Think again. Belvoir Christian Academy proudly offers Variable Tuition. Tuition at Belvoir Christian Academy is not a “one-size-fits all.” It’s a range. A range that spans from 40-80% of the full cost of education. Variable Tuition adjusts tuition rates to meet your family’s unique financial position. No family at Belvoir Christian pays the full cost of education.

  • General FAQs

    What is Variable Tuition?

Variable Tuition is a need-based tuition assistance program similar to those used by many private schools, colleges, and universities. This program allows families to apply for reduced tuition that is right for their family’s financial situation. Thus, this makes a Belvoir Christian Academy education affordable to many qualified students who otherwise could not join our school community.

    How Does Variable Tuition Work?

Any family (current or new) of a kindergarten through eighth grade student may apply for Variable Tuition if they are concerned about affording the full tuition rate at Belvoir Christian Academy and they think they may qualify for the program.

Many factors are considered when determining the tuition amount a family is able to pay, including income, assets, liabilities, unusual expenses, and the size of the family. The resources available for the family in a given year must also be considered in light of the Variable Tuition awards available at Belvoir Christian Academy.

An application for Variable Tuition does not affect the re-enrollment or admission process. Regardless of financial need, parents should initiate the re-enrollment or admission process as early as possible. Families may apply for Variable Tuition only after they have applied for re-enrollment or admission to the school.

It is not possible for a family or the school to estimate the tuition level for which a family qualifies without the completion of a Variable Tuition application. Applications are submitted directly to School and Student Services (SSS), a third-party agency. SSS evaluates the application based on criteria set by the school and makes a recommendation to the school’s Variable Tuition team. Families are notified of the tuition level for which they qualify from the school’s financial office.

Unfortunately, the school is not able to provide Variable Tuition to every deserving student. We work within the available resources to make the school accessible to as many students and families as possible.

Do I need to apply to Belvoir Christian Academy to receive confirmation of my Variable Tuition?

    Yes.

Upon completion of my Variable Tuition application, when will I receive confirmation of my Variable Tuition?

Typically within two weeks of providing all required information to our confidential third party service.

What is the cost to apply for Variable Tuition?

The cost to apply for Variable Tuition is $60 paid to SSS.
