Belvoir Christian Academy, established in 1887
as the Lutheran School, is Hamilton County’s oldest elementary
and middle school. We are located at 800
Belvoir Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Belvoir Christian Academy is committed to providing every student
an academic, physical and spiritual education. We provide a
stimulating, nurturing environment which serves the needs of
children drawn from the Chattanooga and tri-state region. It is a
place where your children’s own individual strengths can be fostered
as he or she begins a life-long learning process.
We
offer a challenging age-appropriate academic curriculum for children
ages Pre-K 3 through eighth grade. Our curriculum integrates
traditional education with technology, while offering a
family-oriented environment. We maintain low student-teacher ratios,
with an average of 17 students per class. We offer core subjects and
advanced subjects, including Spanish and Algebra. We have a
state-of-the-art computer lab that offers Computer Technology for
grades first through eighth. Belvoir Christian Academy encourages creative
growth through music and fine art.
We
offer a variety of extra curricular activities, including Athletics,
Girl Scouts, Dance, Gymnastics, Tae Kwon Do, Mini
Courses and Drama. Our extra curricular activities take place on
site right after school.
The
school’s mission and philosophy is carried out by a dedicated
faculty. Our academic performance has been exemplary year after
year. Our students go on to be successful at the high school of
their choice, private or public.
Belvoir Christian Academy admits students of any race, color,
sex, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs,
and activities generally accorded or made available to students at
the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,
sex, national, and ethnic origin in administration of its
educational policies, admission policies, scholarship, and loan
programs, and other school administered programs.
Belvoir Christian Academy is currently accredited by the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools, National Lutheran Schools
Accreditation Association and the Tennessee Department of Education.
At
Belvoir Christian Academy, our goal is to help children become lifelong
learners and to foster individual initiative and independence.
Children receive the tools and the moral background to shape their
futures as responsible, Christian citizens of tomorrow. Belvoir
Christian Academy is a special place where your children will learn to reach
for their God-given potential and to share their God-given gifts.
