news from our ptl president, sue coulliette - may 2018

Dear BCA Families,

As the end of the school year approaches, we need to wrap up our PTL activities.
We are continuing our “Change for Good” campaign over the next couple of weeks. Please send in spare change with your child by May 18. A date will be set to announce the class that collects the most change and have the winning teacher Kiss a Pig!

Next is our annual Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week - May 7 - 11. PTL will be providing lunch each day. We will also provide light breakfast foods. We would appreciate any items you would like to contribute such as, juice, muffins, granola bars, etc.  We also encourage children to take a few minutes to write a note to their teacher and tell them how their class has impacted them. I will be here for morning care each day, so feel free to drop anything off with me in the cafeteria between 7 a.m. – 8 a.m.

Our next full PTL meeting is scheduled for Tues., May 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please plan to attend. We are looking for nominations for the following offices.

President
Vice President
Secretary,
Treasurer
Volunteer Coordinator
Fundraising Coordinator
Faculty Liaisons

Please consider one of these offices. We want to see BCA’s PTL continue to provide activities, equipment and education to our students and faculty/staff. This is vital to the success of the school. I have enjoyed working with the PTL Board and families this year. This is a wonderful way to be involved in your child’s school. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity.

Thank you,
Sue Coulliette
PTL President

We're so glad to have new students and their families join Belvoir Christian Academy! We hope this will be a great beginning to your child’s education. While our teachers and staff will ensure that your child receives a excellent education, the parents who volunteer on our Parent-Teacher League work to provide children, parents and the community with several fun and exciting events that will enhance your child's experience here at BCA. The best way to meet other parents is to become involved with the activities that PTL has planned for the year. Everyone is welcome to the event planning meetings, generally held each month. Please look for meeting dates/times to be posted in the school’s weekly newsletter as well as on the main page of the website.

Purpose of PTL:

  • To encourage and cultivate high standards of Christian education.
  • To promote open communication and good will among parents, teachers, administration, school board, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church.
  • To encourage parental participation in school events

The BCA Parent-Teacher League Mission Statement:

Belvoir Christian Academy PTL works for your child by maintaining close working relationships between parents, teachers, staff and all BCA infants - 8th grade students to enhance the Christian educational experience by providing equipment, services and fellowship events to build school spirit and relationships within the BCA family.
