Soccer season begins Mon., Sept. 30
for 2nd - 6th graders.
Boys and Girls in 2nd - 6th grade who are interested in playing soccer this season are invited to attend the first practice on Mon., Sept. 30 from 3:30 until 5 p.m. on the soccer field.
Students should bring a change of clothes (T-shirt, shorts, athletic knee socks, cleats), shin guards, water bottle and a soccer ball (if they have one from home to bring).
Parents may pick up their children from practice at 5 p.m. from the soccer field, or the students will go to after care until you pick them up.For more information, contact Frank Streufert at [email protected] for more information.
The vision for the Athletic department is to provide a program where students have an opportunity to experience the joy of team and individual competition in a Christ-centered environment.
BCA believes that participation in competitive sports develops self-confidence, self-control, discipline, determination, respect and leadership skills. We offer a variety of athletic and intramural opportunities. BCA is a member of the Chattanooga Private Schools Athletic Association. Students in third - eighth grades may participate in the following interscholastic sports (Second grade students may be allowed to participate in a few of the sports listed below.) All sports are co-ed.
- Cross Country - August/September
- Soccer - Fall
- Basketball - Fall/Winter
- Cheerleading - Fall/Winter during basketball season
- Volleyball - Spring
- Track - Spring
*The variety of sports teams offered each year is subject to student interest as well as the number of students available to make up an appropriately-sized team.
For seasonal sports schedules for games/practices, please refer to the weekly newsletter emailed to families or posted on the News/Events tab.
Students in third grade and above who wish to participate on any BCA sports teams will need to have a sports physical from their pediatrician or family physician.
Please pick up a sports physical form from the front office or download HERE. Parents, please take the form to your child's pediatrician (or clinic that offers sports physicals) and have him or her complete the form and return it to our school office. Forms and athletic fees must be turned in before the start of the sports season.
Tae Kwon-Do, Athletic Prep, Gymnastics and more are also available as after-school activities. We partner with Mr. Terry Hanner and Angela's Angels & Athletes to bring weekly programs to our students.
The Meyer family and other staff members offer gymnastics, baton, dance, cheerleading and boys' fitness classes at BCA throughout the week for PK1 - 3rd grade. For more information, call Tyler Meyer at 423.280.5549 or [email protected]
Join our Tae-Kwon-Do class held at BCA each Monday at 3:30 p.m. Contact Terry Hanner at [email protected] or 423.316.9480 for more information. All ages welcome. The cost is approximately $170 for a 12-wk. session.
