East Ridge Christmas Parade - Sat., Nov. 17 - 6:30 p.m.
Kick-off the Christmas season this Saturday by attending the East Ridge Christmas parade! BCA has entered a float, and several students will be riding on the float along the parade route.

The parade begins at the corner of S. Germantown Road and Ringgold Road, in front of Walgreen's and will end close to City Hall on Tombras Avenue. Parts of S. Germantown Road and Ringgold Road will be closed for the parade starting mid-afternoon, so be sure to find an alternate route to get to the parade viewing area on Ringgold Road.

Come out and support BCA and enjoy a great Christmas parade! We appreciate Sarah Harr, our PTL president, and the volunteers, who have put together the float!

Parents' Night Out at BCA!
Sat., Nov. 17
3 p.m. - 8 p.m.
for K - 8th Graders

This Saturday, take advantage of the Parents' Night Out sponsored by the Youth Group of First Lutheran Church!

They are raising funds for a very special week-long trip next summer to the National Youth Gathering in Minneapolis. To offset travel costs, the youth are holding various fundraisers to provide services to the community to earn free-will offerings.

If you would like to have your child participate in this Saturday's event, please contact the church's youth director, Patrick Cooper, at 423-414-1728. He, along with several youth, will provide snacks and fun supervised activities in the BCA gym.

This would be a great opportunity to get a head start on Christmas shopping! Thank you for your support of the FLC Youth!
Candy Cane Shop Volunteers Needed
December 3 - 7
On Dec. 3, our annual PTL Candy Cane Shop will officially open! This is a fun-filled week of Christmas shopping for all of the students. A Christmas "store" will be set up in the multi-purpose room (behind the gym) with tables full of items for men, women, children, pets and home decor. Children will have the opportunity to shop with their class one day during the week.

Kathleen Pacenti, Candy Cane Shop Coordinator, will soon communicate with your child's teacher as to the date that your child will shop. You will also receive an envelope on which you may make a list of the family members that your child will shop for, along with a designated amount they may spend on each person.
Look for more details after Thanksgiving!

Volunteers Needed Each Day During the Week!

Kathleen will need several volunteers throughout the week, so please be thinking of some time you can offer during the school day during that week to help the students shop and to wrap gifts.

The online sign-up will be available soon, so please sign-up for a time slot when this information is posted through the PTL Sign-Up Genius. If you have any questions, please contact Kathleen Pacenti (Coordinator) at 423-260-9326 or [email protected]
After School Care News
The front doors to the school are locked at 4 p.m. each day. If you arrive after 4 p.m., you must use the downstairs entrance to sign your K - 8th grade student out of after school care. If you have any questions, please call our Day Care Director, Melissa Swafford at 423.304.6591. Thank you for your cooperation.
Blue Jean Day, Fri., Nov. 30
Friday, Nov. 30 will be our next Blue Jean $$ Day! Please bring in at least $1 to wear blue jeans with a dress code top or BCA t-shirt. No jeans with holes or rips will be allowed. Proceeds will go to Trinity Hope.
Holiday Pictures - Thurs., Dec. 6
A flier from LifeTouch Photography will be sent home in book bags after Thanksgiving Break with information about our Santa/Holiday pictures on Thurs., Dec. 6.

Students in Infants through 8th grade may have their picture taken with Santa or choose a Holiday background. Pictures are on a pre-paid basis. This will be a non-dress code day for all students, and they may wear their favorite Christmas attire. Everyone who chooses to may visit Santa, however, only those who pre-paid may have their pictures taken. Please see Melissa Swafford if you have any questions.
