Student Life:: Boy Scouts
Belvoir Christian Academy is home
to Cub Scout Pack 3051. Meetings are held every other Wednesday,
usually the first and third Wednesdays of each month, at our
sponsoring church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (located next
to the school). Individual den meetings begin at 6:30, following
the church's Wednesday night dinner, and go until 7:30.
All-inclusive pack meetings are held once every four to six
weeks. This is a time when all dens meet together as a pack and
receive awards and participate in other special group-wide
activities.
Dens consist of four groups that
make up the Cub Scout Pack. The first year a boy is eligible to
join the scouting program is at age 6 or first grade. He is
considered to be part of the "Tiger" den. In second grade, the
boys become part of the "Wolf" group. Third graders then become
"Bears" and finally, fourth and fifth graders are considered "Webelos"
which is a time to train to become an official "Boy Scout".
All boys from the community are
invited to join at any time of the year. However, an official
"Scout Night" is usually scheduled at the beginning of the
school year to give interested families an opportunity to learn
more about scouting from a scouting professional.

If you are interested, please call
Emily Patton at (423) 629-9657. She is the den leader for the
Bears (third graders) and will provide contact numbers for other
den leaders within the pack.
