We would like to wish all
of our "Mothers" a very
blessed Mother's Day.
"When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your
thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for
her child."
"And
these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine
heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto
thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and
when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest
up." Deuteronomy 6:6-7

to be turned in
Good News!
As we look
forward to the upcoming school year, we are excited about the many
opportunities and possibilities for the future of Belvoir Christian
Academy. We are
pleased to announce the opening of a second class for kindergarten for the
2008-2009 school year. We have two extremely
qualified teachers secured for next year. Mrs. Ann Bolden (formerly
known as Ms. Deely) will be moving from first
grade to teach kindergarten. Mrs. Lee Smith has been hired to teach
the second class. In addition, Mrs. Amber Beam will again be a
classroom aide in the kindergarten rooms. We feel the qualifications
of this kindergarten team are exemplary as detailed in the following brief
biographies:
..

teacher of first grade at BCA

teacher with the TN Department of Education
∙Masters
Degree with 4 years teaching experience
∙Teacher

∙Member of O.L.P.H.
∙Married
to Mr. Bill Bolden last November
.
Mrs. Lee Smith

and math program at
St. Nicholas

∙Member,

Church
∙Mother of
two students at BCA, Sarah and Carl
We also have a change in our 3rd
grade teacher for next year. We are saddened to say goodbye to
our third grade teacher, Miss Katherine Whitmire.
Katherine has accepted a position as the Youth Director at her church where
she will be working with high school aged youth. Katherine has been
an excellent teacher and Christian role model for her students. We
will miss her quiet and steady manner in working with our children, but we
know that God's hand is in this as He seeks to have workers in many
different areas of His vineyard.
We are pleased to announce that Mrs.
Becky Nelson will be our new third grade teacher. Becky has
four years of experience in the United States Air Force as a Public Health
Technician where she was in charge of training adults. Since that
time she has been in school earning a K-8 degree in elementary education at
Tennessee Technological University.
Becky will begin the school year as a fully certified elementary education
teacher. Becky is also mother to three of our current students,
Claudia, Roz, and Will Nelson. Becky is a member of First Lutheran
Church, where she is
leader of the Stephen Ministry Training Team. We welcome Mrs. Nelson
to our staff as we go into the new school year!
