Todd Patterson
Spanish and Geography
tpatterson@bcalions.org
I was
born in Garden City, NT. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in
history from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
Although raised in suburban New York City and having lived for
twelve years in Washington DC, I have considered Chattanooga home
for the five years since my wife Elaine and I moved here.
Prior
to our move I designed and sold residential HVAC systems. A job
opportunity for my wife in Chattanooga gave me a chance to pursue a
career in teaching, a vocation for which I trained in college.
During
my first year at Lutheran School I taught 6th grade Social Studies
and Language Arts, 5th grade Language Arts, Elementary School
Computers and Middle School Spanish as an enrichment course.
When
Lutheran School decided to expand its Spanish program I was asked to
develop it. I have enjoyed teaching Spanish language and culture and
believe I have the best of all worlds; I have the opportunity to
teach our three year olds up through our 8th graders.
My
hobbies include travel, gardening, hiking and cooking.
