Office Manager

I have lived in Chattanooga all of my life. After dating for five years, I married my husband Ed Slaten 21 years ago at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Ed went to Lutheran School. We have two children that attended Lutheran School from Pre-K thru 8th grade. Hannah is now a senior and Heath a sophomore at Boyd Buchanan.

I have been the Office Manager for the past 10 years. I also teach sign language to all of the students. My favorite thing to teach the students is Christian songs for chapel services and graduation. I love it when the pre-schoolers walk by the front office and get my attention and sign “I Love You” to me.

I love boating and enjoy watching sunsets. My favorite part of working at the school is being able to comfort a child and it warms my heart when students call me their “school mommy”. My favorite bible verse is Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
