I love
God and know him as my Lord and Savior. Teaching children about
Jesus and His love for them is one of the main things I love about
teaching.
I grew
up in Gillett, AR (go Razorbacks) on a rice farm. My mother still
lives in Arkansas while one brother lives in Louisiana and another
brother lives in Florida. I enjoy sharing stories of my childhood
and I try to make learning fun for my students.
I
love animals and have two cats. One named Midnight. She is totally
black and was born in October. My other cat is also black with some
white markings and is called Prissy. I enjoy traveling and sharing
these adventures with my students. I enjoy the beach and being out
on the water. If I have any spare time you can find me reading a
book. I don't think anyone can ever say they are bored if they have
a book to read.
I am a
product of a Lutheran elementary school. I attended St. Paul's
Lutheran School in Gillett, AR for 7 years. I graduated from Gillett
High School and went on to Concordia University in Seward, NB were I
received my B.S. degree. I received my master's degree in early
childhood education from Towson University in Towson, MD. I have
taught second grade at St. James Lutheran School in Quincy, IL and
Emmanuel Christian Day School in Baltimore, MD.
I have
been at Belvoir Christian Academy/Lutheran School since 1984.
I keep
the score book for our volleyball, and basketball teams. I am the
chapel coordinator and have worked with the school's Christmas
service.
